Final post :( !

Many stories and ideas was wrote on my blogg. At first, was difficult for me think in english, listen and talk, I was insecure. At first I translated in spanish and then english, a job that I´m tired!. With the practice in class, tried improved my conversation and understanding, from that moment i had to start thinking in english. Writing my blogg, I knew more words, I only needed someone to correct me and post to see my mistakes recurring. My favourite story was the best designer because by this post I received a mail from Laurence Loewy , Raymond`s daugther who said “well, done!””, was really exciting for me that she look my english blogg and has written. THE INTERNET POWER!!!!! On the other hand, in the BBC web I discovered a page where I can practice every week to learn more, but my favourite way was what I learn in classroom, I learn to really think in english and don´t have fear to talk about different themes with differents peoples. The class “it opened my hears” to understand each word, now is more easy for me listened and understand movies and songs. Actually is so necessary talk in english, if I want go to study to other side, travel, or work, I have more possibilities and tools. Is a very important languaje used by many peoples. Many books that I´m interesting are in english, it improve my reading too. I will miss the class, I would like have more levels to reinforce what has been learnt, and practice. I will practise forever, maybe we should organize practic groups or continue searching bodies for doing increasingly well. The Shining

The famous Stephen King wrote one of my favorites novels called The Shining, wich awoke my fears for first time in my life. From that moment I lived thinking Why is so difficult write, if only you need a pencil?.

Moreover, i liked the protagonist thought, because really frightened me his pathological actions in madness moments and I could not sleep in several days...I read this book when I was a teenage and recomended it me a teacher who was a little crazy.

This novel recounts the writer life, who had to begin a new story, a novel than will change the course their family life, because to write it had to live in a far away hotel supposedly haunted, before of they, other family had dead, all family... The writer falls in completely madness and try to kill his wife and son.

I like this book because I love the abeyance and how it developed the madness along story.

The best Designer

Hi!, I want to show one of my favorite designers, this isn`t an easy job, because there are many designers in the history, but i chose Raymond Loewy to his intervention on Industrial and Graphic design.
He was a french designer and worked in U.S.A.. Was born in Mónaco in 1893. At 15 years old design and built an aeroplane toy, with it won the James Gordon Benett Cup, and then he discovered design could be funny and profitable.
Loewy studied in Universitè of Paris and then in the Ècole of Lanneau, where he was graduated like engineer.
His Vision“Between two products at the same price, people buy the most beauty” That said in his presentation card what he sent to every people that he knows. Loewy has a purpose to this create an country identity and lift the nation spirit.
Considered one of the best streamlining exponent, Raymond said the cover it chance to express the machine or product for it self.
The streamlining begins to use for improve the aeroplane performance, locomotives or cars, but soon begin to use to give elegance and attractive for the customer.
He worked with engineering and aesthetics to give successfully good appearance and function.
I like them for his futurist thought to desing and because his designs remains currently.

My favourite building!!!

On my summer vacation in 2008 I had the privilege to travel with my boyfriend to the south of Chile, specifically I was stayed in Castro, the principal city of Chiloé island. This is a beautifull city surrounded by abundant vegetation. There is my favourite building, the San Francisco church of Castro.This isn´t a typical church, for its architecture, is alien to all the other traditional churches of Chiloe. Was built at the beginning of the century by the Italian architect called Eduardo Provasoli. The feature that i like more, is its interior lining. It was developed completly by cabinetmakers in larch wood. Its an amazing work, wich will surround to you in the warmth of southern Chile, each piece was worked by hand, creates a big piece, that you shouldn´t lost. Moreover its materiality, fully agrees with the environment, beautiful and great forests. I hope to come back some day and know more about the architecture of the south.

The last class, we discovered a new tool. This is a web page of BBC where you will found english dialogues to listen and try to understand the language to achieve improve your comunication. There isn´t to beginners, because you have to understand a little bit to use the tools that are there.
I really enjoyed that class. The stories are very funny and they explain the use for the words and their posibilities. Moreover allows us to practise in home or anywhere with internet and share learning with people arround me.

The problem is the time it takes to load the dialogues to listen, they are heard incompletely, makes it a little difficult the process of hearing.

I would like to know more pages, where i will learn and practice the english language. Maybe england people chats or others kinds of tools.

Renewables Energies

In the workshop class, I am working with eco energies. For this reason I search many pages about renewables energies, one is www.e-renovables.cl.
This page talk about different ways to apply eco systems to architecture, and design. Different kind of energies, it catchment and possible development depending on the region.
I visited this page when I want to find more others page about this theme. The English class helps me, when I find English pages to understand what they said.Now is really important investigate and generate new solutions to this problematics. Have we to pay our energy consumption if this energy is free in the earth?. How may we help to make the world more human?. We have an important task of commitment with the earth and our future. What is your way to attack this?.

Comment about the theme Victory City and Chile

It´s the time, with the development of the modern cities we are discover many problems as pollution, stress in the work time, and how we travel, the waste and a lot of other problems to be work how Designer. The pollution makes the air became toxic for the breath, and in Santiago mainly for the large number of people and worse operating of “Transantiago”, a lot of particular cars fill the streets, cut down the time for the family relations. Many waste for the fast life and industries like plastics and chemical elements, make the countryside ground toxic too, to the food and the animals.Presently the City- Park Bicentenario as Victory City, is a proyect about this problematics in Cerrillos, what we have to work in design workshop class. My class is about the artefacts into and outward the houses, development with eco energy. We have the present year to find the better way to help to modern cities, and improve the quality life for the peoples and change the way to make design like the Victory way.
